It has been said that a little knowledge is dangerous. Nowhere is that more apparent than in the editorial suite at the Alamogordo Daily News. Overwhelmed by words and concepts beyond his comprehension and facts irreconcilable with his own conflicts ADN editor Michael Becker has once again polluted the editorial page with a confused and darkly comical diatribe about what did not happen in the Sunbaked Biscuits mess. On Sunday February 25, 2006 National Lampoon’s Newspaper blathered forward with a scathing attack on some ethereal notion of the “process” complete with boisterous assertions that the rules need changed to prevent this from occurring again. If this were not so serious Becker’s delusional recantation of the events and state of “the rules” would be laughable.

Yesterday I was confronted by two of my favorite moral supporters who claimed that I had been neglecting my civic duties in my relentless pursuit of $$$. The subject was the Sunbaked Biscuits fiasco that is playing out in Alamogordo. As you might have suspected I had some opinions on the matter. Instead of charging in regurgitating the obvious I felt compelled to do some additional research first. Instead of confirming my suspicions a little look under the skirts of this one left me staring at so many red flags a blind bull would have charged it.

A recent article appearing in the Alamogordo Daily News presents clearly that it was prosecutor Sandra Grisham who made the initial contacts with Florida "attorney" John B. "Jack" Thompson which has resulted in the filing of a $600,000,000 lawsuit against not only Cody Posey, but also the makers of a video game the activist Thompson claims is responsible for the murders of the Posey family and not the years of beatings testified to at the trial. Disbarred and prosecuted you say?

In the latest of his holy crusades Florida "attorney" and full fledged lunatic Jack Thompson has ensnared the mentally deficient Verlin Posey and the trailer park Bashams in yet another of Thompson's false hopes and dreams lawsuits suing Cody Posey and video game makers for the wrongful deaths of the family. So persuasive has Thompson been these poor uneducated hicks are proclaiming the altruistic motives of saving others from the scourge of violent video games as their reason for bringing the action. What the hell is Mike talking about? Well I want to know what in the hell Verlin Posey is talking about. Verlin knows full well that Grand Theft Auto had nothing to do with why Cody Posey killed Verlin's brother Delbert. As much as some would like to believe that the wrongful death suit filed against Cody and the games makers is a matter of the altruism Verlin is spouting the fact is that Verlin and the Bashams are just out for a fast buck to relieve the poverty that has been their constant companion from birth.

The preliminary hearing for Isaiah Bolton Thursday in connection with the killing of David Cady turned into a circus with the testimony of Cady's accomplice admitting that he and Cady had attempted at least 3 times to break into Bolton's home after chasing him inside under threat of battery. Matthew Garcia testified that David Cady had tried 3 times to kick in Bolton's door. After failing to break in the door Cady then threw a 5 gallon bucket through Bolton's window after which he was shot dead by the victim thus ending Cady's violent crime spree. In a related event New Mexico Tech has planned an event on Monday to honor Cady for his violent rampage that resulted in his death.
